The Legend Goes Electric
Spy shots of what appears to be the production-ready Mahindra Thar.e have surfaced online. The test mule shows a slightly toned-down design compared to the concept shown in South Africa, but retains crucial elements like the square LED DRLs.
INGLO Platform
Unlike the ICE Thar which uses a ladder-frame chassis, the Thar.e is built on Mahindra's INGLO skateboard platform. This promises better on-road dynamics while maintaining off-road prowess through advanced torque vectoring.
Launch Timeline
Mahindra is expected to reveal the final production model on August 15, 2026, continuing its tradition of Independence Day reveals. Pricing is expected to be in the ₹25 Lakh range.
